2、orms that connect riders and drivers to economic engines that create significant upward mobility.For many Mexican women,engaging with ride-hailing services leads to increased financial participation,higher employment,and individual empowerment.Socio-economic factors can limit womens access to privat
3、e transportation options,such as automobiles,due to disparities in income and employment opportunities.Women are also less inclined to make trips using public transit during non-peak hours due to safety concerns.Enhancing transportation options with an emphasis on safety and reliability,along with i
4、mplementing policies to address economic inequality,can help diminish these gender-specific barriers in Mexico.Ride-hailing services can help facilitate these goals by providing a secure,dependable,and flexible transportation alternative.This research report explores the role ride-hailing platforms
5、play in advancing womens economic participation in Mexico,a country where gender disparities in the workforce persist despite ongoing reforms to promote gender equality in both the public and private sectors.In collaboration with Uber,Oxford Economics conducted an online survey of 3,500 frequent use
6、rs of ride-hailing services in three major Mexican cities to explore the influence of these platforms on womens economic participation in that country.Our study shows that ride-hailing enables women to overcome transportation barriers and enter the workforce more easily,with significant economic imp
