5、$928.8 million,compared with$915.9 million for fiscal 2008.Net income was$79.5 million,or$3.34 per share,for fiscal 2009 compared with$151.9 million,or$6.41 per share,in fiscal 2008.For many reasons,fiscal 2009 was also a very interesting year for Cal-Maine.Our feed costs were very high and volatile

6、 for the entire year,affecting our overall profitability.However,we also benefited from relatively strong egg prices and a favorable balance of egg supply and demand.The acquisitions of Zephyr Egg Company,completed in June 2008,and Tampa Farm Service,Inc.,completed in November 2008,have both been im
