2、nce then,the Sanctuary has served as a model of care for special-needs animals,who often need just a little extra help and love before theyre ready to be adopted.On any given day,about 1,700 dogs,cats and other animals from around the country take refuge here.The Sanctuary is the heart and soul of o
3、ur work,but over the years,Best Friends has be-come the flagship of the no-kill movement in America.Best Friends Animal Society is working with you and with humane groups across the country to put an end to the killing in our nations animal shelters.Every day,more than 9,000 pets are killed in Ameri
4、cas shelters,simply because they dont have homes.But together,we can bring that number to zero.Tens of thousands of animals join American families each day,but right now,only about 20 percent of them are adopted from shelters.By increasing the number of people who adopt homeless pets from shelters,w
5、hile reduc-ing the number of animals who enter shelters,we believe that,together,we can Save Them All.Thanks to you,were creating no-kill communities across the country through innovative adoption and spay/neuter programs,strategic collaborations,public/private partnerships,legislative and advocacy
