1、RECOMMENDATIONSThe four reports delivered to the President today contain numerous recommendations to strengthen theindividual product supply chains. There are also several cross-cutting themes and recommendations that,collectively, will not only strengthen the four prioritized supply chains, but als

2、o will rebuild the U.S. industrialbase and innovation engine.We divide the recommendations into six categories: 1)Rebuilding our production and innovationcapabilities; 2) supporting the development of markets with high road production models, labor standards,and product quality, 3)leveraging the gov

3、ernments role as a market actor; 4) strengthening international traderules , including trade enforcement mechanisms; 5) working with allies and partners to decrease vulnerabilitiesin the global supply chains; and 6) partnering with industry to take immediate action to address existingshortages.1.Reb

4、uild our production and innovation capabilitiesLong-term competitiveness will require an ecosystem of production, innovation, skilled workers, and diversesmall and medium-sized suppliers. Those ecosystems, grounded in regions across the country, are theinfrastructure needed to spur private sector in

5、vestment in manufacturing and innovation.
