2、rful tools for increasing gender equality and economic inclusion.These digital services add value beyond simply connecting passengers with drivers;they also create opportunities and upward mobility.For Brazilian women,ride-hailing platforms provide a path to increased economic participation and empo
3、werment.Women in Brazil face gender-specific barriers that inhibit their integration into the workforce.Socio-economic factors may limit womens access to private modes of transportation,such as automobiles,due to disparities in income and employment opportunities.Women are also less likely to travel
4、 on public transportation during non-peak hours due to personal safety concerns.Improving transportation options with a focus on safety and reliability,along with policies addressing economic inequality,can help reduce these barriers.Ride-hailing services can play a role in mitigating these challeng
5、es by offering secure,reliable,and flexible transportation alternatives.In collaboration with Uber,Oxford Economics conducted an online survey of 3,500 frequent riders in Brazil to explore the influence of ride-hailing platforms on womens economic participation in that country.Our study provides com
