3、as our centennial year kicked off in January 2020,we could not have predicted the societal upheaval caused by a global pandemic,massive economic slowdown and the most significant social uprising in the U.S.in fifty years.Just weeks into our all-important fourth quarter in March,nearly every state in
4、 the U.S.had shut down schools because of the coronavirus.As Scholastic staff met the challenges of the pandemic head-on,two important themes emerged:first,the reliance of our school and family customers on Scholastic for reading and learning,even with schools closed;and second,the opportunity to ac
5、celerate our move to digital learning resources for both school and home.We quickly shifted focus to find inventive ways to provide reading and learning for millions of families and educators reeling from school shutdowns.Here are some highlights of how our teams made the pivot from schools to homes
