2、the outdoors was a renewed or newfound haven from the impact of the pandemic.Visitation increased on all National Forests and Grasslands across the country.With no concerts or sports events and limited travel options,more people than ever began to explore new hobbies.Outdoor recreational items,such
3、as boats,bikes,or RVs to name a few,became hard to find or were backordered.We know that easy,safe,and comfort-able access to green space is not available to everyone.As an organization,we realize that we must increase our efforts to ensure that National Forests and Grasslands are accessible to all
4、those who are interested.There is always so much that we can highlight in our Annual Reports,and rarely enough space to cover everything you help us to accomplish.In this report,you will read about our Conservation Connect Fellows who help expand our knowledge and impact.We are grateful for their in
5、terest in,and work to benefit our National Forest System.You will also read about our work on the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire;the first National Forest in the Eastern United States.Our work on Bill Williams Mountain in Arizona is helping the Navajo and Hopi through the Wood for L
6、ife effort,while also improving forest resilience.Our campaign to plant 50 million trees on our National Forests continues to progress at a good pace.As wildfires and other disturbances continue to affect our forests across the country,this tree planting campaign becomes increasingly important.Thank
