4、perature to well below 2C above pre-industrial levels, while pursuing efforts to limit it to 1.5C. On 22 September 2020, President Xi Jinping noted that the Paris Agreement on climate change charts the course for the world to transition to green and low-carbon development and announced that China ai
5、ms to have CO2 emissions peak before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060. As a leading international city of China and a responsible member of the global community, Hong Kong should also seek to draw up our own mid-century long-term low GHG emission strategy in good time.
