2、e and the ideal format for talking about and wrapping up digital product creaon annually would be.Those elements de昀椁nitely crystallised quickly,but the thing in the driving seat at 昀椁rst was the axiom that 3D is cool-and 3D for apparel,footwear,and accessories is even more compelling.Now,in a role
3、like mine you really do need to be across a lot of di昀昁erent elements of fashion-and every product category that sits under that umbrella.And you also need to take a detached vantage point on the value that each technology segment has the potenal to create.Thats sll the philosophy behind this report
4、,just as it is with our other deep-dive reports from this year,on AI and Sustainability.But if you ask me which technology segment has occupied the most of my personal me and aenon beyond the veil of journalisc objecvity,the answer has always been 3D.To be clear:Ive never been a 3D designer of the c
5、reave or the engineering persuasion.I wasnt good enough at art or maths for that.But I did have the luck of being part of the generaon that watched computer graphics-at the raw technical level-start with abstract ASCII stand-ins for objects and progressively mature to the point where real-me raytrac
6、ing is table stakes.And Ive also had the privilege of being in a job where Ive watched,debated,analysed(and even worked a ny bit on)the advancement of the commercial case for 3D.Its easy and clich to get misty-eyed about how 3D as an arorm has grown up,but for me its inarguably more impressive-and m
