7、 work,game,and connect,to enabling breakthroughs in science,medicine,and industry that improve our daily lives,AMD technology is used by billions of people every day.We are committed to pushing the envelope in high-performance and adaptive computing responsibly and in alignment with our core values
8、and inclusive culture.In 2023,we delivered annual revenue of$22.7 billion,driven by strong demand for our data center and embedded products.Together with our employees,customers,and partners,we also made progress in meeting our digital impact,environmental sustainability,diversity,belonging and incl
9、usion,and supply chain responsibility goals.For example,from 2021 to 2023,more than 150 universities,research institutions,and non-profit organizations focused on scientific research and education received AMD technology donations through our AI and HPC Fund and STEM initiatives.We also reduced gree
10、nhouse gas(GHG)emissions from operations(Scope 1 and 2)by 24.5%in 2023 compared to our 2020 baseline.And we remain on track to achieve our goal of delivering a 30 x increase in energy efciency from 2020 to 2025 for AI training and high-performance computing applications.Looking ahead,AI is the most
11、important innovation of the last 50 years with the potential to transform every aspect of our lives.While we are in the very early stages of the AI computing era,the technology is already being used to improve healthcare diagnoses,accelerate climate research,and provide powerful tools for content cr
12、eation.AMD is one of the only companies in the world with the breadth of compute engines,IP,and expertise needed to power AI from the cloud,to the edge,and across billions of end user devices.Importantly,we are also committed to responsibly developing and deploying AI.In 2023,we launched a Responsib
13、le AI Council that made progress on a number of priorities,including establishing AI governance,creating a responsible AI culture,and collaborating on industry best practices.We also expanded our industry coordination eforts in 2023-2024 through our participation in the Responsible AI Institute,incl

17、 prioritizing key focus areas,investing in strategic initiatives and partnerships,and transparently reporting on our progress.Now 29 years into our sustainability reporting journey,AMD is building on this strong foundation as we deepen stakeholder engagement,leverage value chain collaborations,and p
18、repare for emerging sustainability reporting regulations.In 2023,we conducted a“double materiality”assessment to prioritize CR issues through two lenses:the potential impact on the business and the potential impact the business has on society and the environment.In parallel,we conducted our first Hu
19、man Rights Saliency Assessment,which informed updates to our global human rights policy and strategy.The insights underscore the importance of leveraging collaborations where we have influence,like responsible mineral sourcing and supplier sustainability performance while driving progress where we h
20、ave control,like reducing operational emissions,advancing energy efciency,and contributing to our AMD communities.To help address systemic industry challenges,like decarbonizing Scope 3 emissions and mitigating forced labor risks in the supply chain,AMD holds leadership positions in the largest indu
21、stry coalition in the world dedicated to supply chain sustainability:the Responsible Business Alliance(RBA).AMD continues to serve on RBAs Board of Directors as well as the Senior Environmental Advisory Team.We also participated in the inaugural RBA Forced Labor Summit in Washington D.C.with global
22、leaders,financially supported the RBA audit fund for the Responsible Minerals Initiative,and steered the RBA environmental strategy roadmap.As a founding member of the Semiconductor Climate Consortium,we sponsored its Energy Collaborative in 2023 to help improve renewable energy access in Asia-Pacif
23、ic.Alongside this work,we began developing a climate transition action plan(CTAP)that incorporates climate scenario analyses used to consider potential futures with associated strategic implications,including physical risks and market opportunities.Development of the CTAP is ongoing as we will conti
24、nue to report on our decarbonization strategy,timeline,and progress.As examples,from 2020-2023,we more than doubled the percentage of renewable energy in our operations from 18%to 40%.We also continued to increase sustainability collaborations with our“Manufacturing Suppliers,”which AMD buys from di
25、rectly and that provides direct materials and/or manufacturing services.As of 2023,84%of these suppliers had their own public GHG goals,and 84%of the facilities operated by these suppliers had RBA audits(since 2020).These key metrics are among the eight AMD CR goals that underwent third-party limite

62、ateriality assessment,which considers how a companys actions afect the economy,environment,and people.This assessment took into account the continued evolution of our business,investor and stakeholder ESG information needs,and reporting expectations informed by organizations such as the Global Repor
63、ting Initiative(GRI)and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board(SASB,now part of the IFRS Foundation).The methodology included assessing sustainability and human rights trends in our industry,identifying key issues,gathering internal and external perspectives through interviews and research,an
64、alyzing data,and validating findings through workshops with senior leadership.BSR evaluated 13 ESG issues for their relative importance.The resulting ESG materiality matrix reflects this importance based on two perspectives:the potential impact of ESG issues on the business(“financial materiality”)a

325、 helping our foundry wafer partners reduce impacts is through modular“chiplet”architecture.Instead of designing for one large monolithic chip,AMD engineers reconfigured the component IP building blocks using a flexible,scalable connectivity fabric.By breaking our designs up into smaller chiplets,we
326、can get more chips per wafer,lowering the probability that a defect will land on any one chip.As a result,the number and yield percentage of“good”chips per wafer goes up,and the wasted cost,raw materials,energy,emissions,and water goes down.Producing 4th Gen AMD EPYCTM CPUs with up to 12 separate co
