2、ps of the social-ecological transformation2The world is undergoing far-reaching changes.There seems to be no end to reports of record heat,storms and forest fires.Climate policy has been dodged for a long time;progress must be made quickly in phasing out fossil fuels and building up an energy supply

3、 and industrial production based on renewable energy.At the same time,the pressure for change increasingly affects citizens directly.The path to a climate-neutral economy is associated with enormous technological,economic and social challenges:The accelerated expansion of renewable energy,the heat a

4、nd transport transition,and the structural change of the economy-all of this will increasingly affect citizens.Against this background,the SINUS Institute conducted a large-scale population survey in Europe and North America on behalf of the Competence Centre for Climate and Social Justice of the Fr

5、iedich-Ebert-Stiftung:across 19 countries,the research delved into the perceptions,interests,and concerns that individuals associate with the social-ecological transformation.The surveys primary objective was twofold:first,to provide an encompassing overview of attitudes towards climate policy,and s

6、econd,to explore the degree of receptivity among various social segments toward climate policy measures.To achieve the latter,the survey design incorporated the Sinus-Meta-Milieus target group model.The study results are intended to stimulate public discussions and provide an in-depth analysis of th
