2、 and Investment Commission(“ASIC”)granted relief to enable the Group to change its fi nancial year end date from 31 December to 31 July.The change of year end enables Funtastic to align its fi nancial year end date with that of its major customers.The granting of this relief means that the fi nancia

3、l year of the Group is a transitional period from 1 January 2010 to 31 July 2010(i.e.seven months).The comparative period in this annual report is the 12 month period ended 31 December 2009.Hereafter the Group will report its results as normal with respect to a 31 July fi nancial year end.2010 was a

4、 period of continued transformation for the Group,as it continues to implement its turnaround strategy.Specifi cally,the restructure in the Board and senior management team has now been completed the Group is confi dent that it now has the appropriate team in place in order to execute its turnaround

5、 strategy.The Period in ReviewRevenue from continuing operations has fallen and although Funtastics key brands performed well,the Groups secondary brands suffered as retailers reduced support for all but the strongest performing brands during the tough retail trading conditions.However,the Madman En

6、tertainment business continues to perform well despite the tough environment which has impacted the home entertainment aspect of the business.Growth in ancillary sales and the very strong theatrical performance from Animal Kingdom have compensated for the weaker performance of the home entertainment
