➢ AI对光模块需求的拉动受益于数据中心光通信网络架构的改变:面对高性能计算、大数据分析等 IO高并发、低时延应用,现有 TCP/IP软硬件架构不能满足应用的需求,传统的 TCP/IP 网络通信是通过内核发送消息,而 RDMA(RemoteDirect Memory Access,远程直接内存访问)直接通过网络接口访问内存数据,无需操作系统内核的介入,这允许高吞吐、低延迟的网络通信,尤其适合在大规模并行计算机集群中使用。RDMA网络有 Infiniband、RoCE(RDMA over Converged Ethernet)和 iWARP 三种类型。英伟达采用 Infiniband 架构,不兼容以太网,从硬件级别保证可靠传输,技术先进,提供更高的带宽和更低的时延,成本更高,需要特定支持 Infiniband的网卡和交换机。Infiniband架构下追求无收敛传输(上下行链路带宽一致),因而会引入更多的交换机,从而需要更多光模块提供交换机与交换机、交换机与服务器之间的互联。与之相较,华为星河 AI 网络采用 RoCE,其是基于以太网的 RDMA 技术,可以使用普通的以太网交换机(只需要选用支持 RoCE的网卡),将RDMA技术部署在目前使用最广泛的以太网上,从而完全复用以太网生态。同样地,在这种架构下也会引入更多光模块。
