3、eurship,and unmatched business environment that features robust intellectual property protections,flexible and efficient capital markets,and the rule of law.The U.S.government nurtures and builds on these many strengths to make the United States an attractive destination for FDI.Global companies can
4、 select any location for their next investment expansion,so continued FDI growth in the United States signals strong confidence in the U.S.business environment.FDI works alongside domestic investments like the Biden-Harris Administrations Investing in America agenda,which seeks to make once-in-a-gen
5、eration investment in Americas infrastructure and clean energy future.The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law(BIL),CHIPS and Science Act,and the Inflation Reduction Act(IRA)are key pieces of legislation that seek to reinforce U.S.competitiveness for investors and thus attract FDI,which is a critical contr
6、ibutor to the growth and resilience of communities.The impact has been clear:today,foreign direct investment directly supports nearly eight million U.S.jobs and accounts for exponentially more indirect jobs those jobs that exist to produce the goods and services needed by FDI-funded workers.FDI busi
