2、ucted a study of the 2,500 largest publicly listed companies in China,which involved a thorough analysis of their latest annual reports with the aim of gaining insights into the appointments of CDOs in these companies and their respective data management priorities.Meanwhile,we also invited 86 leadi
3、ng Chinese companies to participate in ourChina CDO study,allowing us to deep dive the minds of prominent Chinese CDOs in specific areas concerning role positioning,work agenda,team capability building and culture development.2PwCPwCOnly 1.3%of the Chinese leading 2,500 public companies currently ha
4、ve a CDO or equivalent position,which is significantly lower than the global level of 27%.This indicates there is a considerable gap to be bridged in terms of CDOs appointments.Among the companies that did have a CDO or equivalent in place,those in the financial services and Technology,Media and Tel
5、ecommunications(TMT)industries took the top two spots,attributable to their faster progress in digital transformation.In shark contrast to the fact that global companies who are more likely to talk about data in a defensive context,Chinese companies are more inclined to explore how data can be utili
