2、progress in the last two decades.In most cases,HIV infection can be managed as a chronic disease with effective antiretroviral therapy(ART),enabling people living with HIV to lead long and healthy lives.Despite these advances,HIV remains a serious public health issue,particularly in certain regions
3、and among specific populations.Remaining unmet needs in treatment and prevention require continued investment from all stakeholders to ensure progress in ending the HIV epidemic.This report highlights some of the main unmet needs in HIV and challenges with developing treatments to address them.It al
4、so captures the dynamics around research and development(R&D)along with spending and healthcare policy which can have an impact on the development of and access to future HIV treatments.Finally,the report concludes with a call to action to all stakeholders to ensure that potential challenges to the
